has had over 10 year’s involvement in the Tassibee organisation. She has been a treasurer from 2015 to 2017, which was an important role to oversee the finances and to account for funding spend. Here her business mind was helpful as she had managed a retail business for many years and keeping the finances healthy was key to a successful business.
has found her input on the management board and in the social and cultural activities of the organisation has brought her closer to the community it serves. She has enjoyed this aspect and found it very rewarding whilst recognising the wider needs of the BME community.
Professionally, her background of working in Secondary and currently as an ESOL lecturer in Further Education has certainly given her the skills and confidence to get involved in fundraising initiatives. She has co-hosted events with the chair, CEO and other Board Directors to raise valuable funds to support local and international charities.
